Finalists for 'Lets Design' with Celina Jaitly

Cotton Council International (CCI) has been celebrating the passion for cotton with bollywood actor Celina Jaitly, fashion designers Masaba Gupta and Swapnil Shinde declared the finalists for the third edition of its fashion designer contest- Let's Design. The theme for this season have been decided as “Naturally in Love”.

The India contest finished on December 18th with the footfall of entries, which got closed on January 18th. Out of 800 entries 90 were shortlisted for the regional rounds. Mumbai was represented with 147 entries where the best designers were showcased. For Mumbai Regional Round, Urvashi joneja was declared the winner. The contestants were asked to bring their sketches based on cotton, for the regional rounds. Each of them have to put their designs in front of the judges who also asked questions about the design and how it is related with the theme and their characteristics. The contestents have to wait for the completion of other rounds to find out if they made it into the 'Reality House'.

'Reality House' is the house in which the 16 finalists will stay where they will be judged on their execution of various challenges assigned to them to test their skill, passion, innovation and creativity. The winner will be declared by India's biggest fashion house Kimaya across all Kimaya stores in India and Dubai. The eliminations from the 'Reality House' will be done on February 2 to 13 with the contest including a star-studded fashion show on February 14 in Mumbai.

Two big names of celeb world, Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Manish Malhotra all set with their new collections at Pearls Delhi Couture.They are back again with their summer collections. A big salute of Sabyasachi to India's textile heritage once again! His wonderful collections included block prints, khadi, kantha work as well as zardozi. To catch your hold, there were lovely blouses with hand embroidery and beautiful lehengas.

The variety included achkans with loads of layering and the cool headgear. Colour Palatte consisted of orange, black,green and red. The mesmerising collection was all presented on a catwalk. The surroundings were filled with a very antique feel. You know ! Bollywood Beauties Vidya Balan and Rani Mukherjee made their ravishing presence at the event. Vidya was looking gorgeous in Sabya Saari while Rani wore a black jumpsuit.

Now, let's come to Manish Malhotra's styles, they had their touch of bold flourish. He tried the fusion effect, his collection included saris, lehengas and Jackets. A deep blue gown with a bolero jacket was grabbing the hold of everyone. It is worthwhile mentioning here that, Manish has designed wonderful creations for Bollywood Beauties like Kareena Kapoor, Priety Zinta and Kajol.

It is designed by Ayesha Depala, a fashion designer of Dubai. Sonam and Ayesha first met in at the Dubai Film Festival a year and a half ago. The girls met through a mutual friend.

Sonam got mesmerised with her beautiful designs and since then the star has worn Ayesha's designs. Sonam has tweeted about it also.
